Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how RentGo Aqaba (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit or use our website rentgoaqaba.com (the “Website”) and our car rental intermediary services under the concept “Car Rental Aqaba No Deposit, No Credit Card” in cooperation with local partners.

By using the Website or sending us a booking request, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

RentGo Aqaba is a travel and car rental intermediary project focused on helping travellers find Car Rental Aqaba No Deposit, No Credit Card style offers whenever possible. We work with independent local car rental companies in Aqaba and the surrounding region (the “Local Partners”), and we present their offers online for your convenience.

We do not own vehicles ourselves. Instead, we collect and transfer booking information between you and our Local Partners so they can provide the actual car rental service.

2. Data We Collect

We collect and process different types of personal data depending on how you use our Website and services:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) your country of residence or home address when you send a booking request or contact us.
  • Booking details: rental dates, preferred vehicle category, pickup and drop-off location (e.g. King Hussein International Airport (AQJ) or Aqaba hotel), flight number, and accommodation information for delivery.
  • Communication data: messages and information you send via email, contact forms or other communication channels (such as messaging apps) in connection with bookings, questions or support.
  • Website usage data: technical information such as IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referrer URL, pages visited, date and time of access, and similar log data collected for security and analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small data files stored on your device to remember preferences, help secure the Website and analyse traffic (see Section 5 below).

In general, driver’s licence and passport/ID details are collected and verified directly by the Local Partner at pickup, in accordance with local law and insurance requirements. We normally do not store copies of these documents ourselves unless it is strictly necessary for a specific legal or support purpose.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data only for legitimate purposes, including:

  • Booking management: to receive, process and manage your booking request and, if confirmed, pass the necessary details to the relevant Local Partner so they can prepare your car and rental agreement.
  • Communication: to contact you regarding your enquiry or reservation, confirm details such as pickup time and location, and answer your questions or support requests.
  • Compliance & legal obligations: to comply with applicable legal, tax and accounting requirements, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities where required.
  • Website improvement: to analyse how visitors use our Website, fix errors, improve content and user experience, and protect against misuse.
  • Security: to monitor and help protect the Website against fraud, abuse, unauthorised access and other harmful activities.

We do not use your data to create complex profiles, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We only share your personal data where it is necessary, lawful and relevant to provide our services or comply with legal obligations.
We may share limited data with:

  • Local Partners: we share the booking information you provide (name, contact details, rental dates, vehicle category, pickup/drop-off details, flight number, hotel, comments) with the Local Partner who is responsible for your rental, so they can prepare the vehicle, contact you if needed and complete the rental contract.
  • IT, hosting and analytics providers: third-party service providers who host our Website, store data or provide basic analytics and security tools. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and may use it only to provide services to us.
  • Professional advisers: such as lawyers, accountants or consultants when reasonably necessary for legal, compliance or business purposes.
  • Authorities and law enforcement: if we are legally required to disclose information or if disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the rights of our users or the rights of our Local Partners.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and Analytics

Our Website may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • remember basic settings and preferences (such as language, if applicable),
  • maintain security and help prevent fraudulent use of the Website,
  • understand which pages are visited and how users interact with the Website in an aggregated or pseudonymised way.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may affect the proper functioning of some parts of the Website.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These measures may include secure servers, encryption where appropriate, access controls and regular review of our data-handling practices.

We retain personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to:

  • process bookings and provide customer support,
  • comply with legal, tax and accounting requirements,
  • resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

When personal data is no longer required for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.

7. Legal Basis for Processing (where applicable)

If you are in a region where a specific legal basis is required (for example, under EU/EEA data protection laws), we process your personal data based on:

  • Contract necessity: when processing is required to take steps at your request before entering into a car rental contract (booking request) or to facilitate that contract with a Local Partner.
  • Legitimate interests: for purposes such as Website security, fraud prevention, basic analytics and communication related to your enquiries, provided that these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable laws (e.g. tax and accounting rules).
  • Consent: in situations where you have explicitly given consent, for example, for certain types of communication or optional cookies (if used).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your country of residence and applicable data protection laws, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: to request confirmation whether we process your personal data and to receive a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Deletion: to request deletion of your personal data, where there is no overriding legal reason for us to keep it.
  • Restriction: to request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Objection: to object to certain types of processing, particularly when based on legitimate interests.
  • Data portability: to receive certain personal data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another controller where technically feasible.
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time (this will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11 below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request, for security reasons.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority if you believe that your data has been processed in violation of applicable law. We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly first.

9. Third-Party Links

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, travel resources, booking tools or information pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.

When you follow a link to a third-party website, their own privacy policy and terms will apply. We recommend that you review the privacy policy of any external site before providing personal data.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Website and services are intended for adult travellers and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age at which parental consent is required in the relevant jurisdiction.

If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such data where required by law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable laws or technical developments. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date at the top.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle your personal data.
